We have helped set up seed libraries, a community resource, providing free fruit, vegetable, flower and herb seeds to anybody wishing to grow them.
How does it work? You simply take what seeds you need (up to four packets at a time) and donate any seeds you do not need, or any excess seeds you produce in your growing area.
Seed Library Locations
The Hartlepool Seed Library are available for use at five Hartlepool community hubs and libraries:

Seed Library Logbooks
All of the Seed Libraries will soon have a Logbook, where we would appreciate users of the resource to note down when they donate or make use of seeds, including any planting advice for donated seeds. This will help provide further information and advice about the seeds available to users of the Seed Libraries and allow us to better monitor their use, providing information that may help us to improve them further.
