Find out more about our town’s Food Partnership team HERE.
The Hartlepool Food Partnership brings together representatives from the community, food businesses, the voluntary sector, educational institutions and the local authority – who care about the quality, affordability and sustainability of food in their town. By working in partnership with the wider community, a long-term plan is created to make available healthy, affordable and sustainable food.
Many other places have a Food Partnership – Hartlepool’s nearest Partnership being Middlesbrough and Sunderland. A national coalition of charities concerned with food quality and sustainability – Sustainable Food Places (see www.sustainablefoodplaces.org) – have designed a model for Food Partnerships that is considered best practice.
Get Involved
Our work is only achievable alongside valued local support, including being led by a Steering Group consisting of representatives from voluntary and statutory organisations, which anyone is welcome to attend.
If you are interested in joining us, attending meetings or want to be involved in a project, please get in touch at info@hartlepoolfoodpartnership.co.uk.
